Excuse the belated condolences but I just saw this now. Was reminiscing about our old extended family, the Dowhanyks and Hujwan (Huen) clan. Condolences from my mother, Irene (née Korny) and myself. I remember Harold and Bev being like members of the family and Harold visited our grandmother, Stephanie Korny (née Hujwan), when she was at Holy Family Home between 2003–2010. A prayer for +Harold and +Bev and for your family. RIP + Вічная пам'ять

I would like to pass along my sincerest condolences to Harold's family. We met while working at Via Rail back in the day. I asked Harold if he could do sketches of 2 train stations (Grandview MB and Bowsman MB) that my Dad grew up in in the 1930's and 40's. I wanted to gift them to my Dad and these photos are the result. These were done in 1985 and are family treasures that were left to me upon Dad's passing in 2014. Harold was a good man with an exceptional talent.

Uncle Harold was more than just a favourite uncle. He was like a father to all of us in various ways. I remember the trips to the cottage at Victoria Beach he took us on when we were kids, the family gatherings at his home and his unfailing sense of humour that many of us try to emulate but fail bitterly. He was a kind, generous, loving and approachable man and will surely be missed by us all. Our deepest condolences to Greg and his family. Love Nancy and Maurice Bourret and family.

Uncle Harold was a truly remarkable individual who had a joke for all occasions. He loved to golf but didn't want to give you a ride home if you beat him. He always reminded you that he was an incredible golfer and that no one could beat him when playing at Elmhurst unless they were cheating. If he beat you, a free lunch for Uncle Harold was in order. I never met anyone who knew more about polar bears in Churchill and took real pride in being a tour guide for interested tourists. He also was really creative when it came to sketching and even did an fabulous sketch of Stinger Burke, a Lakeland terrier of notorious repute and a good friend of Curly Balla. Uncle Harold, you will be greatly missed.
