Obituary of MARIA CAMARA
MARIA DE ROSARIO CAMARA
Peacefully on February 12, 2013 our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Maria de Rosario Camara, passed away at the age of 87 at the St. Joseph's Personal Care Home with her family at her side.
Left to cherish her loving memory are: her children, daughter Maria (Luis), son, Jose (Connie) and daughter Anna; her loving grandchildren Nelia, Kelly, Matthew and her great grandchildren Bryce and Branden.
Maria was predeceased by her husband Serafim Luis Camara, her parents Maria de Rosario and John de Costa Alecrim and two brothers John and Jose.
Maria was born on August 21, 1925 in Sao Vicente Ferreira, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. She immigrated to Winnipeg in 1971.
We the family would like to thank the staff and nurses of St. Joseph's Personal Care Home for all of their care and support for the 9 years that she lived there as part of the St. Joseph's family. The family is very grateful for your dedication and compassionate care given to our mother.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 14 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Rev. Fr. Andre Lico officiating. Entombment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
You were our mother and our friend, and although you are now gone, you will never be forgotten and forever remembered in our hearts. We love
you Mom. May you rest in Peace.
