Obituary of CECILE GISELE BRELAND

Cecile Breland (nee Tetrault)

October 20, 1947 to December 27, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mother and Grandmother Cecile Marie Gisele Breland.  Left to cherish Cecile’s memory are her Daughters Kim Cosgrove (Kurt), Christine Bissell (Kevin) Grandchildren Sayde, Marin, Gareth, Jasmine as well as her siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, best friend and true love predeceased her; nine years ago, her heart broke when Dad passed away.

Mom loved her independent living, yard work, gardening, canning, Christmas baking and her family.  She resided in her home until her very recent hospitalization.  Upon her final 3 days in hospital and at her request she prepared for last visits with family.  She referred to this time as her party.  We celebrated her life and she joined us in a group toast with a final Caeser.  We did not want to let her go, but it was time for her to join Dad.  Mom, we love you and we will miss you, our hearts are broken. 

Thanks to all the family that visited with her in her final days and supported us.  Thanks to the accommodating, caring and compassionate staff at St. Boniface Hospital E4 ward that bent the rules for us during our visits with Mom.

Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 21^st, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel Transcona, 1800 Day Street.  Mom has been cremated and interment will occur at a later date.
