Stephanie and Barb, I am so sorry to recently hear of Melanie’s passing. I was a member of all those Canadian National basketball teams that she managed. Melanie was a computer statistician before there a computer program for keeping basketball stats during games. It was quite complicated but very efficient and I brought it with me to teach my manager when I coached at UNB. She did a great job of keeping all our teammates in touch after we left the program. She certainly went above and beyond and we appreciated all she did. RIP

Dear Barb, Stephanie and family,
I was truly saddened to see the news recently of Melanie's passing last March. I feel fortunate to have known her, and to have kept in touch with her over many years, sharing footnotes about our lives as we moved on from the 76 Olympics. She was the ultimate team manager, always looking out for us, keeping us in line, and serving as a buffer between us and coach. I don't think it was an easy job, but she relished it! We were lucky to have her on our team, and I feel blessed to have called her my friend.
Thinking of you and your family, and wishing you the peace that comes with wonderful memories. ~ Bev (Bland) Preston

We are so sorry to hear of Melanie’s passing. We grew up next door to Melanie and Barb and so spent a lot of our childhood as friends. With Melanie and Barb next door, we always had someone to play with. We remember Melanie as always being very sweet and kind to all of us. We send our deepest sympathy and condolences to Barb and Stephanie and extended family. Mary, Carol and John

So sorry to hear of Melanie's passing. I know the last few years have not been easy for her. I knew her from WTA and then after her retirement would see her when she substitute taught at DMCI. She was a very caring person. My deepest condolences to you Barb, Stephanie and the rest of the family.

Dear Stephanie, Barb and extended family,
Please accept our condolences on the passing of your dear mother and sister Melanie. She was a kind and caring person who always looked out for others. Her efforts as a teacher went well beyond the curriculum as she spent many hours baking and personally wrapping individual gifts for her students when she knew that some of them would not be receiving anything at special times of the year. She was also a wonderful colleague. Lots of good times were had at dinners and road trips with Melanie.
We wish you comfort and support at this difficult time among your circle of family and friends.
In sympathy and friendship - Archie Nicholson, Erika Uustalu-Nicholson and Family
