Obituary of DONNA MARIE MATSKIW

Donna Marie Matskiw

Donna Marie Matskiw passed away suddenly on April 2, 2023 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 78 years.

She was predeceased by mother Annie, father Harry, husband Paul, brothers Matthew (Shirley),  Michael and brother-in-law Bill Tassos.

She leaves brothers, Jack, Wally (Wanda), Donald (Daisy), Merlin (Michelle) and sister Anne Tassos along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family especially thanks to the doctors, and nurses at Concordia Hospital and Jackie Montsion for all her help.

Donna was born on June 23, 1944 in Boulton Municipality. She went to elementary school at Pozir, Riding Park Schools and high school in Inglis, MB.

After high school, she worked 25 years for Westfair Foods; as a cashier, meat wrapper and deli manager in Dauphin MB, Victoria and Duncan B.C.  Donna last worked for Manitoba Lotteries for 18 years, retiring in 2011.  Another passion she had was writing poems, taking landscape photos and baseball, as she was an excellent ballplayer.

She also spent 5 years raising 4 foster children in Lake Cowichan B.C.

Donna loved meeting new people and made many friends.  She was best known as Auntie Donna.

Donna you will be missed.
