My deepest condolences to all the McDonald family. Cousin Betty always had a large smile when we met at family events. She always asked about my family and my parents. Although our conversations were far apart in time, I always left them with a lasting smile on my face and happiness in my heart.

I have too many special memories to share. I was her god daughter and she let everyone know it! Many memories from playing Bingo, to attending almost every Boxing Day at their house for the company and of course the delicious pizza buns, to the times spent with them in Arizona. There are no words to describe how special she was. Rest in peace Auntie Betty, you are so missed.
Love your Special God Daughter

We were very saddened to learn of the passing of Betty. We became acquainted with her through our friendship with her son Glenn and his family. Betty had a natural pleasant disposition. She had a ready smile. It was clear that she was very supportive of her family members and was well respected by them. She even laughed at her husband Henry's bad jokes. We would like to offer our condolences to Betty's relatives and friends. May cherished memories of Betty bring you comfort... Ivan and Margaret Bilash

You could always see Betty smiling or laughing about something!
Betty was a team player and if she couldn't actually be 'On the team', she supported the team 1001%.
In the winter time Me, Henry and Rob played Broomball at different community centers in and around Winnipeg and Betty would come out to watch us play and stand on the tall snow banks (Sometimes -25 Fahrenheit) cheering us on AND, if ever you wanted a 'Cheer leader' Betty was the most boisterous one there, if you gave her 'Boys' are hard time Betty let you and everyone else know about it, She was HARD on the refs.
During and after the games she would always make sure we had an orange or hot chocolate to keeps us going and when we played in a few tournaments [and won] Betty would say: "The bash it at the McDonalds!" Betty would put on a spread like no other and we'd enjoy every bit of it too!
I met Betty McDonald through my mom Pat Vidalin at Dominion Stores where they both worked my mom and Betty became very good friends and that’s where I met her husband Henry and her son Rob that’s how we became friends.
My life was a better place knowing Betty McDonald; she was such a super lady.
I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the whole McDonald family for such a Hugh loss to your family.
