Obituary of ROY RICHARD KURCHER
ROY RICHARD KURCHER
August 15, 1948 – March 1, 2013
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and brother Roy on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital.
Roy was preceded in passing by his parents Mary and William. Roy is survived by his beloved wife Verna of 35 years and his brother Walter, brother-in-law James (Terry), sister-in-law Beverley, niece Larissa (Trevor) and great-niece Hannah, and great-nephew Sean, nephew Ryan (friend-Celia).
We had an amazing 35 years together, sharing love, tears, good times and bad. He spent his career working at Motor Coach, as a Customs Officer and Resources Protection Manager for Sears.
Roy was a member of the Golden Boys Model A Club and took great pride in restoring his 1928 Model A Ford. He enjoyed the monthly get togethers, breakfast with the boys on Monday mornings and Saturday evening coffee. He loved attending all the car shows and listening to Coast to Coast. He was currently working on obtaining his Ham license. He loved his 5 Golden Retrievers over the years and Baxter will miss him.
Special thanks to Dr. Mark Boroditsky and all the staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of one’s choice.
A private interment to be held at a later date.
