Kim was born April 29, 1967 and grew up in Transcona. From an early age he developed a passion for computers. He became very knowledgeable about technology and devoted his efforts to the Winnipeg PC User Group. For many years he was employed with the Province of Manitoba at DVL and Student Aid. He also taught at Red River College and worked as a private consultant. He enjoyed attending Goldeyes baseball, travelling throughout USA and Canada, tackling home improvement projects, as well as spending time with family and friends. Despite suffering a stroke in 2013, Kim managed to stay mobile in his wheelchair. Kim was known for his humour and wit and he always enjoyed his visits with Auntie Karen.
