Shirley was born on August 21, 1936 in Manigotagan, Manitoba. She died peacefully on June 30, 2023 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Verna Thorarinson, husbands Carl Horeczy and Walter Tomiak, sister Rose Hryhorchuk and son-in-law Darrell Babynchuk.
She will be lovingly missed by children Darryl (Diana), Barry (Penny) and Dale (Brad), Michael (Ingrid) and Terri; grandchildren Nicholas (Lori), Jacqueline (Corey), Tyrell (Haylea), Matthew (Sarah), Mark (Kelsey), Rena and Alyssa (Scott) and great-grandchildren Nyla, Cruz, Dax, Van, Jayden, Carter, Amelia and Paxton, sisters Joy, Janet and Veronica; brother Wayne and numerous family members and friends.
Family was always the most important thing in life for Mom and she always ensured everyone knew how much she was loved.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Amber Meadow, Riverview Health Centre and Grace Hospital for the loving care they showed to our mom.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street with interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery.
