It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother & Baka, Adela Soldo, at the age of 84. with her family by her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Darko (Zdenka) Damir and Nathalia (Koullis) Christodoulides; her grandchildren Keven, (Taylor) Gloria, Nanci, Christian, Greg (Eera), Aris and Emma; great grandchildren Catalina, Mila and Alexander. Adela also leaves to mourn family in Croatia, Canada & California. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Vlado in 2012.
Adela was born in Vrbanja Croatia February 17th, 1939. In 1968 she immigrated to Canada with her husband and children to start a new life. She loved baking, entertaining and spending time with friends. After raising her children, she and Vlado started a new adventure in California, spenting 25 years there. The family and friends out there were a huge part of her life and she loved to tell stories of the good times she shared with them. They were all so special to her.
Shortly after Vlado’s passing, she moved back home to Winnipeg to be closer to her children, grandchildren and recently great grandchildren, she was so proud of them all.
Mama was always so positive and happy. She had the best sense of humour and she loved to laugh. We were so blessed to have her in our lives and we will miss her dearly.
Thank you to everyone for their love and support not only over the last month but over the years. She was always happy to see everyone and she really did love you all.
Thank you, Mama, for always being patient and supporting all our decisions, loving us unconditionally, for all the beautiful memories and being the best mom in the world.
