The family of Angelina Morais Braga Santos is saddened to announce her passing on July 7 at the age of 74 years. Angelina passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Seven Oaks Hospital.

Angelia was born July 16, 1948, in Feteiras/Santa Barbara on the island of Santa Maria, Azores, to Jose Braga and Bernardina Morais. Angelina, husband Antonio, and their two children Lucia and Natalia immigrated to Winnipeg in 1973. Angelina retired from her work at the Fairmont Hotel in 1995, where she worked for 17 years. Angelina was known for her playful sense of humour and will be fondly remembered for her love of family, shopping, and travel, particularly home to Portugal to visit family and friends.

Angelina is survived by her husband Antonio Santos, daughters Lucia De Andrade and Natalia Fonseca (Riisa Walden), grandchildren Cristopher De Andrade, Selena De Andrade, Sophia Fonseca, and great-grandchild Athena Rockola, siblings Maria Bairos and Maria Lurdes Braga, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will take place at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Friday, July 14 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Angelina will be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery following the service.
