Obituary of OLGA LENORE KWIATKOWSKI
OLGA LENORE KWIATKOWSKI (Nee Domanski)
August 20, 1922 – July 13, 2023
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Olga Kwiatkowski, on July 13, 2023, at Eastgate Lodge in Beausejour, MB at the young age of 100.
Olga will be dearly missed by her children: Lloyd Kincade, Pat Nevistiuk and Tim (Donna) Kitkowski, grandchildren: Range (Stacey) Kincade, Shauna Sanderson, Shireen Nevistiuk, Chad (Caitlin) Kitkowski and Mindie (Chad) Copet, great-grandchildren: Kole Kincade, Liv (Dawson Shewchuk) and Liam Sanderson, Connor and Chloe Kitkowski, Nolan and Ryan Copet.
Olga was predeceased by her husband of 39 years who was the love of her life, Stanley; her parents, Katherine and Stephen Domanski; siblings Erakie (Ricky) Olson, Karl, Edward Joseph, Elizabeth, Lily and Stanley Domanski; son-in-law, Andrew Nevistiuk and grandson Kenneth Lane.
Olga was born August 20, 1922 in Sandy Lake, MB. Her family and many friends will remember her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She derived much pleasure from bumper pool at MacBeth House, cards and her beloved Toronto Blue Jays.
Olga raised her family on the farm in Elphinestone, MB. The family was always on the road going to sporting events, volunteering, spending time in the community or attending church. She loved hosting family and friends and it was guaranteed that no one left her house hungry.
In March 1966, Olga and her family moved to Winnipeg to rebuild their life after the family house on the farm was destroyed by fire. In Winnipeg, she worked at International Collegiate Press, Winnipeg Convention Centre and Moonie's Catering. Sadly, in 1979, Olga's husband Stan passed away, leaving her to remain a strong-willed, independent woman. Olga had a wonderful group of friends that she treasured and she often reminisced about the times they spent together, whether it was going to bingo, having poker parties or on trips to Vegas.
It was important to Olga for her family and friends to know that she loved them all deeply to the very end and that she will continue to watch over them.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff from East Gate Lodge who cared for Olga the past number of years.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 1:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
