Obituary of ERNEST WILLIAM LUCKO
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ernest Lucko at his residence on August 14, 2023 at the age of 80.
He is survived by his sons Brent (Kim), Kelly (Heidi), sister Diane (Harvey) and grandsons Aiden and Brady.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Anne and wife Patricia.
Left to cherish his memory are many family members and friends.
Born and raised in Hazelglen, MB, Ernie spent his youth there before moving to Winnipeg. He married Patricia in 1969 and together raised their 2 sons.
Ernie worked for many years before his health forced him to retire in the late 80’s from
Burns Meats.
He kept himself busy with projects around the home and spending time outside gardening. He enjoyed time with family and seeing his grandsons grow up.
Although his health put limits on him, he tried his best to overcome and enjoy the many moments. We will miss you Dad but we will find happiness in your memory and comfort in the time we spent together.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 400 Day Street with interment at Transcona Cemetery following the service, 5014 Dugald Road.
