Obituary of CLIFFORD EDWARD PADOBA
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father on August 20, 2023 at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Barbara (nee Dilay) 23 months ago. We feel comforted by the fact that Mom and Dad are together again.
Dad will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Lori (Steve) Dyck, Brad Padoba and Wes (Tammy) Padoba. grandchildren Tara-Lynn Padoba, Amanda (Char) Hebert, Brayden Padoba, Zachary Padoba and great-grandson Maxwell Hebert. Also left to cherish the memories are his brother-in-law Joel Dilay (Jeannie Bazuniuk) and nephews Darren and Cameron Dilay.
Dad worked most of his working years for Canada Post, starting out in the main building on Graham Avenue and eventually retiring in 1992 from the Transcona depot on Regent Avenue. He was an avid model railroader and could be found in his leisure time tinkering with his trains for hours. His favourite vacation was when him and mom received from their family an all-expense paid train ride to Vancouver, B.C. for their 50th wedding anniversary. They truly enjoyed all the people they met from around the world and would often reminisce about the beautiful sights they had seen.
In keeping with Dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Clifford may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
