Obituary of MARIA JULIANA PACHECO
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Juliana on Wednesday, August 23rd at the age of 98.
Juliana was a devoted wife, loving mother, avo, sister and tia. She is survived by her children Jose Manuel (deceased Luisa), Marta, Antonio (Julia) and Goretti (Joao). She lived for her grandchildren, Henry (Tammy), Richard, Darcy, Cristina (Alex), Michelle (Francesco), Claudio (Debbie), Miguel, Juliana) and great grandchildren Tiago, Leandro, Nicolo, Mylah and Francesco who will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jose Remedios, her 3 infant babies, sisters Maria Jose, Angelina, Adelina, Aninas and Conceicao and brother Joao.
Juliana was born in Ponta Garca, Sao Miguel on August 26, 1924 and immigrated to Canada in 1982. She grew up next to the Igreja da Sra de Piedade in Ponta Garça. She was always ready to help family and friends that were in need. She will be remembered for her strong faith and kind loving spirit.
She was the pillar of our family and took immense pride in her children and their families. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing her adored her. She had a heart full of warmth and kindness to all who crossed her path. She will forever remain in our hearts.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the extremely kind doctors, nursing staff, and support staff at the St Boniface Hospital and Misericordia Hospital.
Viewing will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish at 181 Austin Street N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
