Obituary of ADELINE JANIK
ADELINE JOSEPHINE JANIK
March 19, 1925 - September 17, 2023
Adeline passed away peacefully at Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 98. She can now be at home in peace with her Lord Jesus.
Adeline was predeceased by her husband Bert, her parents, Joseph Sopko and Helen Lash, and her sister Josephine. Adeline and Bert owned and operated Wesley Grill on Portage Avenue in the 1950's until the mid 1970's. A big part of Adeline's life was enjoying the years at the family cottage at Sunnyside in Keewatin, Ontario. She was an active member of Ladies Auxiliary at Holy Redeemer Parish in North Kildonan for many years. Adeline loved music and was a member of her church's Senior Choir.
She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to the attentive and caring staff at Holy Family.
Interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery will take place at a later date.
