Obituary of HOWARD GLEN CANN
It is with great sadness we are announcing the passing of Howard "Glen" Cann on September 25, 2023. Born February 12, 1934 in Winnipeg, Glen lived a long and eventful life working as an electrician for the family business, Thos. Cann and Sons. One of his yearly notes to fame was lighting up the big Xmas tree and putting up the camels at the Great-West Life building.
Glen and his wife Marjorie enjoyed travelling to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and spending time at the cottage near Clear Lake. One of his favourite trips was to Hong Kong as it gave him many lasting memories. Glen was also well aware of the history of Winnipeg and shared many stories from the past about buildings and events in the city.
He leaves behind his children Laurie (Wayne), Tom (Diane) and Rob (Evelyne), grandchildren Trish (Dave) and Lee, and great grandchildren Reese, Tyler and Jack.
Family would like to thank staff from Home Care, Victoria Urgent Care, and St. Boniface hospital for their kindness and support.
