Obituary of MARCEL GABRIEL MICHEL LECLAIR

Marcel Leclair passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Maples Personal Care Home, at the age of 90 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Amanda.

He is lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Gisele and Diane Leclair.

Marcel was born in St. Norbert, MB on January 29, 1933. He was a farm boy and loved the outdoors, airplanes and anything aviation. He married Amanda in 1966. Proposed on April Fool’s Day! Together they had two daughters, Gisele and Diane. Marcel lived in Winnipeg until 1999, then moved to Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island. Moving back to Winnipeg in 2007.

He worked for Winnipeg Power Commission, Garrick Theater as the Assistant Manager, Transair, Standard Aero Engine, G.E. Shnier (GESCO) as Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, and Operations Manager, Sears at Kildonan Place, Safeway Warehouse and at Eaton’s Warehouse.

Marcel loved working with wood. He built all sorts of pieces: birdhouses, small animal figures, little sleighs, miniature tractor and swan planters. He enjoyed renovation and renovated all his homes. Marcel loved working outside, especially in Nanaimo.

Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
