JONATHAN MICHAEL SWARTZ

January 2, 1995 – October 1, 2023

Jonathan Micheal Swartz passed away suddenly on October 1^st, 2023, at a friends’ apartment, at the age of 28 years. He was predeceased by: Kimberley Dawn Bell (mother). Jonathan is survived by his children, Averie, and Noah. He also leaves his brother Hunter and sister Samantha, his niece Aurora and nephew Dominic as well many other family members aunties, uncles, and cousins.

Jonathan was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba, he attended Churchill high school where he met Crystal, and they had two beautiful children together. Jonathan was such a proud father when Averie was born. Averie was the light and joy of his life; he loved her so much. There was not a moment that he didn’t light up anytime there was talk of Averie.

Then 4 years later Noah was born, and he loved him just as much, he was a proud father to two wonderful children, and he never skipped a beat when he talked about his children.

Jonathan loved his family so much, he had so much love to show for everyone, he was a caring soul. He always wanted to be involved with family and asked for updates, and loved talking about how other’s lives were going.  He loved to hear about it and was generally interested.

Unfortunately, Jonathan had an addiction that changed him, it controlled him and took him away from all who loved him and all he loved. It skewed his reality and numbed his heart. It mocked his every attempt to be free and kept taking him back into the dark. No matter how much he fought and tried to be free, it was a battle that he was not winning.

Although he is gone, he will forever be in our hearts.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment at Brookside Cemetery.
