WALTER KAWKA
August 6, 1935 – December 7, 2023
In loving memory of Walter Kawka, born on August 6th, 1935, in Neepawa, Manitoba.
Walter, known as Wally, passed away peacefully on December 7,2023 leaving behind his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Eve.
He is survived by his dear sister, Shirley Sawchuk, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wally had a fulfilling 36-year career at Manitoba Telephone System, starting in Equipment Installation and concluding as Personnel Manager. Wally was not only a dedicated professional but also an accomplished golfer and curler.
In his youth, he enjoyed playing various sports and hunting with his father.
Upon retirement, Wally and Eve travelled 13 times to their favorite vacation spot, Honolulu, Hawaii where they spent cherished time together on Waikiki Beach.
Wally is predeceased by his loving parents, Nick and Anne, sister Jean McRitchie, nephew Darren Sawchuk, brothers-in-law George Duna, Todd Sawchuk and James (Tiny) McRitchie.
Wally’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A private family service will take place.
