Obituary of RUBY CLARA KLABUNDE
RUBY CLARA KLABUNDE
With tremendous sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Grandmother Ruby Clara Klabunde, at the age of 96 years on Sunday March 17, 2013.
Ruby is survived by her three grandchildren, Scott Anderson, Kimberly Schultz (James), Erin Anderson (Mark) as well as six great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn special family friends, Norman and Arlo Ohlson and Dick and Patricia Ward.
Ruby was predeceased by her biological and adoptive parents as well as her two sisters. Ruby was also predeceased by her three husbands as well as her son Robert Anderson. Robert passed in 1993.
Ruby graduated from Baudette High School in 1935. Soon after high school she married her first husband Stephen Anderson and had her one and only son Robert in 1946. They owned and operated Anderson Camp in Redditt, Ontario.
Ruby married her second husband Karl Klabunde and moved to Cooks Creek, MB, to be closer to her family. Karl passed in 1982.Years later Ruby met her forever love Cliff Ward. Ruby and Cliff enjoyed retirement and farm life with many animals to care for. Ruby spent Cliff’s remaining months caring for him in a nursing home until his passing in 2001.
Ruby enjoyed many hobbies such as board games, her favorite being Scrabble. She had a passion for drawing and painting. She loved reading and could often finish a book in one day. She had a sense of humor like no other. She could make you laugh and cry at the same time. Ruby’s comeback’s only got better with age. She adored the time she spent with Chevy, Hudson, Adison and Molly, they were the ones who kept her young at heart. Ruby never let a day go by without expressing her love for her family. She cared more for others than herself at times. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
We would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Concordia Hospital as well as everyone at the Misericordia Hospital-Cornish 2 Unit for their care and compassion for our Grandmother.
There will be no Funeral/Memorial service; Cremation has taken place as per Ruby’s wishes.
THE DAY YOU LEFT
WITH TEARS WE SAW YOU SUFFER,
WE WATCHED YOU FADE AWAY,
OUR HEARTS WERE BROKEN,
AS YOU FOUGHT SO HARD TO STAY.
WE KNEW YOU HAD TO LEAVE US,
BUT YOU NEVER WENT ALONE,
FOR A PART OF US WENT WITH YOU,
THE DAY GOD CALLED YOU HOME.
A Memorial Tree was planted for RUBY
We are deeply sorry for your loss ~ the staff at Cropo Funeral Home
