Obituary of RONALD ARTHUR SKWAREK

Ronald Skwarek

(August 17, 1945 – December 31, 2023)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, gigi, uncle and friend.

     Ron was born in Gimli, Manitoba to his parents, Mike and Bernice Skwarek. Soon after, Ron and his family, including his sister Laury, moved to Winnipeg where he grew up. Ron was employed as a machinist for over 30 years at Bristol Aerospace until his retirement in 2008.  Upon retirement he enjoyed part time employment with Adesa Auto Auction.  Ron loved life and especially enjoyed many mornings of coffee and conversations with his good friends Ron Waluk and Bob Kaptian.

     Ron’s joy in life came from spending time with his family whether it was a horse show, hockey game, jiu jitsu competition or a dance recital. He was always there to be the biggest supporter. Ron’s greatest happiness was spending time with and watching his grandchildren grow.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judy, his daughter Larysa (Guy), grandsons Hayden and Trey, nephew Michael (Jenny), granddaughter Brooklyn, as well as many other cherished family and friends.

     A private family service will be held. 

     Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
