Obituary of OLGA MILLER
OLGA "OLLIE" MILLER
Loving wife and mother went to her Savior on March 23, 2013.
Ollie was one of nine children born to Peter and Ksenia Balagus, March 23, 1925. She attended St Nicholas School, and as a teenager moved to Toronto in 1941 for "war work", returning to Winnipeg in 1945 to aid in the care of her ailing Mother. On Sept. 20, 1947 she married Alarey Miller and after several different jobs settled in as a housewife raising three children.
Ollie was predeceased by her husband Al, sister Ann, brothers Mickey, Johnny, Joey (Ann) and two siblings who died at birth.
She is survived by her children, Randy (Gloria) Miller(Colorado), Darlene (Ray) Kowal and Dennis (Nola) Miller of Winnipeg, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, as well as her sister Marianne Smith (Paul), and brother William Balagus (Margaret).
The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their devoted care of Ollie throughout her stay there.
She will be cremated and a memorial mass in celebration of her life will be held at 10 am Thursday, March 28, 2013 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave.
