SHIRLEY GERALDINE CASSIE
September 20, 1925 – February 4, 2024
We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; Shirley on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 98 years.
Shirley leaves to mourn her passing her son Ron (Leslie), son-in-law Lorne, daughter-in-law Shirley (Jack Mcdonald) and her three children, Daniel (Tina), Michelle Hamerla (Mark), and David (Kelly), and great-grandchildren Wyatt, Jake, Mya, Sophia, Kelton, Ellet, and Logan. Also leaving to mourn, grandchildren Tamara (Blair), Charlene (Eric) and Katie (Eric); great-grandchildren Jordyn, Melissa, Jessica, Megan, Lucas and Ivy.
She was predeceased by her parents Massid and Alice Haddad of Winnipeg, sister Dorothy, son Douglas in 1984 and daughter Erin.
Shirley had a passion for the outdoors, biking, cross-country skiing and enjoying the tranquility of nature. Their skilled hand created intricate cross-stitch masterpieces and cozy knitted treasures. Shirley embarked on many literary journeys, enriching their life through the magic of words. The Hawaiian Islands held a special place in their hearts, becoming a backdrop for cherished trips. Along with the many other cherished family trips filled with love and laugher to Pine Wood Lodge.
We thank River Park Gardens Personal Care Home for their excellent care and support that they provided to Mom for the past 3.5 years.
