I worked with Ilene during summers I worked at the Portage Arts Center, she was always kind and generous and so helpful. I will always remember her patience as she taught me how to do many tasks. She will be greatly missed. Sincere Condolences to all the family, so sorry for your loss.

There is a saying that each person we encounter contribute to who we are. I was fortunate to have her in my life while we worked at the Arts Centre. Through her steadiness and strength, Ilene lead by example. She taught me to be calm in all situations and to laugh at myself. One of her greatest gifts to Portage was the creation of the Community Foundation of Portage & District which yearly helps not-for-profit organization to do their work in our communities. Thank you, Ilene!
