JEAN ( GENEVIEVE)LEONA MARYNEWICH
1933-2024
Peacefully on Tuesday March 26, 2024. Our beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, passed away at the age of 90.
Jean(Genevieve) Marynewich is survived and lovingly missed by her son Chris and daughter Cathy(Catherine). Grandchildren :Breena Ross and Shayla Marynewich, Great- grandchildren : Jordan, Ryan, Owen, Riley and Hailey. Sister : Sophie Macleod , Nieces: Ann Mclean, Angie Pagee, Shelley Stertz,Kim Moroz, Nephews:Bud and Jim Macleod, Barrie Yaworski, Daryll and Wesley Moroz.
She was predeceased by her husband Tony(Anton), sons: Brian and Greg, Brother; Joe Moroz and sister; Ann Karasinski , Nephew: David Macleod
Jean was born and raised in Garson MB in 1933 to Walter and Antonia Moroz. She met and married her husband Tony from Beausejour MB on October 2, 1954.They first lived on Mulvey ave and later settled in West St. Paul MB where they lived for 50 years. Where she was a stay at home mother to her 4 children.
Our mother was born with a green thumb which she got from her Father Walter. She delighted so much spending time in her large garden and growing roses. Jean was a devoted christian. She belonged to St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic church for 50 years.Her faith in God gave her a very kind charitable heart . She was always helping anyone who was less fortunate. Especially her relatives in the Ukraine and Poland.
Special thanks to the staff on the 4th floor St. Boniface Hospital for taking good care of her.
A church service will be held at on Thursday April 4, 2024 at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on 3597 Main St. West St. Paul MB
Viewing at 10:30 am service at 11:00 am followed by burial at Holy Family Cemetery and lunch.
If friends so desire donations may be made to St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic church in lieu of flowers.
