Obituary of GERALD ALLAN SEADON
GERALD SEADON
October 23, 1944 – April 25, 2024
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle on April 25, 2024.
He leaves to mourn his wife Irene, daughters: Tera (Chris) Zaluski, Tracy (Mike) Hildebrand; grandchildren: Chase and Brooklyn Hildebrand, Aria Zaluski; siblings: Don (Dee Dee) Seadon, Kerri-Lynne (Greg) Sexton; several sister and brother in-laws, many nieces and nephews, as well as close friends.
Gerry was married to Irene for 52 years, raised two daughters, whom he adored, and took pride in his three grandchildren. Though he had an ailing heart and lungs for the last 20 years, it didn’t stop him from living and giving.
He and Irene enjoyed travel. Gerry most enjoyed the last 2 family trips watching the excitement on his grandchildren’s faces.
Gerry was a natural born salesman with a jovial personality and the gift of gab. Most of his work career was in the sale of floor coverings.
Through his daughters, Gerry developed a love for gymnastics. He coached for many years and inspired his gymnasts to believe in themselves. It gave him great pleasure to help others.
As a Knight of Columbus, he did God’s work of charity and ministering to others. He loved his church community.
Gerry also loved and cheered for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Miami Dolphins, which his wardrobe reflected.
Gerry counted all his family and friends as blessings. He was funny, kind, and a peacemaker. He leaves a void in the lives he touched.
Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, 10:30 a.m., at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 35 Marcie St. with a reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Manitoba Lung Association or Agape Table.
