Liberia Soares Tavares

Liberia Soares Tavares of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the age of 87 years.

Liberia was born in Faja de Cemia San Miguel, Azores, Portugal, on October 22, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose, her parents Jose and Conceicao, sisters Maria and Lidia, and brother Carlos. Liberia is survived by her children Leontina, Jose, Oliver, and Rui, her brother Jose, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. 

The Funeral Service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin Street, Winnipeg, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 12:00 with viewing at the Church before the service starting at 11:00.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, where she will be laid to rest.
