MILDRED "MIMI" ULRICH
(nee Chapryk)
September 2, 1921 – April 9, 2013
Mimi passed away peacefully at Poseidon Care Center April 9, 2013 at 91 years of age.
Her memory is cherished by her brother Thomas Chapman (Donna), sister, Pat Walsh and sister in law Sophie Chapryk of Toronto. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Mimi was predeceased by her husband Edward of 50 years, beloved son Lindsay, brothers Nicholas, Walter and Joseph Chapryk.
Mimi was born in Winnipeg. She was an active member of St Nicholas Church. She volunteered at Seven Oaks Hospital simply visiting the sick.
Mimi was a huge Jets fan, cheering them on from the second row in the old Winnipeg Arena. Her favorite restaurant was Shanghai and loved to celebrate there with family and friends any given Friday. Everyone loved Mimi’s singing and she loved to dance. She loved shopping, gambling, the spa and chatting with her friends. In her early days she enjoyed her cottage at Grand Beach called, "Happy Daze".
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Poseidon Care Center for the special care they gave Mimi.
Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in lieu of, to CancerCare Manitoba.
