Obituary of YVETTE EMELIA LAFOND

Yvette, born in 1937, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. She lived a full and rich life, marked by her unwavering determination and fierce independence. In 1961, she married the love of her life Jean-Paul, and together they farmed for 50 years, They worked side by side on their farm, a testament to their deep bond and shared commitment to nurturing both the land and their love for each other. Alongside her farming duties, Yvette also worked as an office clerk for 40 years, demonstrating her commitment and resilience.

Yvette and her husband shared a passion for travel. They enjoyed many adventures together, exploring Mexico, Cuba, the Caribbean, and embarking on cruises. In their later years, they found warmth and solace during winters spent in both Texas and Arizona, creating cherished memories in the sun.

Throughout her life, Yvette faced challenges with remarkable strength, including her battle with breast cancer, which she bravely overcame. Her resilience in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Known for her strong will, once Yvette set her mind to something, there was no swaying her. Yet, beneath her determined exterior was a kind and generous heart. She loved visiting with friends and relatives, and her warm presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

As her health declined in her later years, it became harder for Yvette to enjoy the outings she once loved. However, she found joy and comfort in visits from her family, who took care of her needs with love and devotion. Her smile and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Yvette's legacy is one of strength, kindness, and a life well-lived. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory.  She will be deeply missed.
