Obituary of MARVIN ALLEN GARRY POMARENSKI
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marvin Pomarenski on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the age of 66 years.
Marvin was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Mary (nee Palahitski) Pomarenski and brother Melvin.
Marvin will be lovingly missed by his sisters Patricia (Ken) and Barbara. He also leaves to cherish his memory numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Marvin was born on April 3, 1958 in Gimli, Manitoba and spent his younger years in Fraserwood, Manitoba. He was the youngest of four siblings. He lived in Winnipeg, Kelowna, and Penticton.
Marvin was a carpenter by trade and loved working with his hands. He had many hobbies and interests. He loved spending time with people and made lasting friendships along the way. He had a love for nature and cared strongly for animal welfare.
The family especially thanks doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Riverview Palliative Care for their caring and kind attention to Marvin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 1:00 pm., at Cross Church at 1787 Logan Avenue in Winnipeg.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made in Marvin’s memory to a charity of your choice.
