Obituary of RYAN ANDREW KRAEMER
Ryan Andrew Kraemer passed away suddenly on December 16, 2024, at the age of 54.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Helen Kraemer (Schwartz), siblings Robert (Beverly), Janice Paukovic (Thomas), Thomas (Marlene), James (Teresa), Gerald (Katherine), David (Cindy Dowse), Paula, Jeffrey (Silvana), uncle Joseph Schwartz, numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
Ryan was predeceased by his father Paul, many uncles, aunts, cousins and a niece.
Ryan was born to Paul and Helen in Winnipeg on November 30,1970, the youngest of nine children. He attended Lansdowne School, Holy Ghost School and St. Boniface Diocesan High School. He attended Red River Community College and graduated with a Business Administration Diploma.
After graduation, Ryan began employment as a Project Accountant for PCL. He then became Office Administrator at TFI (Financial) Services Limited and enjoyed weekend DJ duties for Dance Masters and eventually his own company, A CD Sound Experience.
Ryan moved to Gillam in 1999 and worked in various jobs in the hospitality industry, including serving, bartending, desk clerk and assistant restaurant manager.
In 2006, Ryan became a caretaker for Manitoba Hydro at the Limestone Generating Station. In 2007, Ryan applied and was accepted to become a gas service person trainee which required a move back to Winnipeg. Continuing with Manitoba Hydro, Ryan became a gas service person and then moved on to being a gas trades specialist instructor.
Ryan experienced some health issues which impeded his ability to work fulltime. He then became the Administrative Assistant for the Knights of Columbus, Manitoba State. Most recently, Ryan became a school bus driver for First Student Canada which he enjoyed a great deal and got to do shuttles for the Blue Bomber games as well.
Ryan was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Theresa Council and Cardinal Flahiff Assembly where he had served in several executive positions.
Ryan had an incredible ability to retain a vast amount of knowledge of trivia, music, television shows and movies. He loved quoting lines from television shows, movies and frequently broke into song. He also enjoyed the Arts, attending concerts, musicals, theatre, symphony, ballet, opera and volunteering at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. Ryan enjoyed performing as well. He danced at the Alpine Pavillion during Folklorama and played bass guitar in the St. Theresa music ministry group. Ryan performed in productions with North Kildonan Community Players and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Winnipeg. He also sang with the Manitoba Hydro Electric Chords.
Prayers will be held Friday, December 27 at 7:00 pm, viewing to commence at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 28 at 10:30 am, both at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, corner of Mountain and Andrews. Interment will be held at a later date.
