Auntie Rita, Pat, Keith and Terry... I will always remember uncle Lionel very fondly as a quiet man with a strong work ethic and even stronger faith.
The many visits in Winnipeg playing pool in the basement, sitting around the kitchen table eating and hanging out in the living room - with Uncle Lionel in his chair while all the loud boys (me included) are watching TV, cracking jokes and generally teasing everyone - often at his expense!
Most of all I will always cherish the vision of him working those tools in the shop making all those wonderful pieces - that was always something I was proud to tell my friends and especially people I met from Winnipeg - "my uncle makes chalices, crosses and all kinds of things for the church"
I can almost hear his gravelly laugh and see him sitting in his chair... wondering what all the fuss is about...
