LIONEL REMI BOURASSA
The family announces with profound sorrow the death of Lionel Remi Bourassa on Sunday May 3, 2015.
Lionel was predeceased by his parents, Emile and Lea Bourassa; his brothers, Eugene, Albert, Romeo, Euclid, Roland, Armand.
He is survived by his loving wife Rita and his sons, Patrick, Keith and Terry, his daughter-in-laws Diane and Tisha. His grandchildren who miss their Pepé; Tyler, Kaitlin, Justin, Nicole, Sara and Sean.
Lionel was the youngest child of Emile and Lea (Labbee) Bourassa was born on December 22, 1934 in Radville Sask. Lionel was a graduate of College Mathieu in Gravelbourg Sask. He worked for E.Bourassa & Sons in the late 50’s and 60’s. In 1967 he moved his family to Saskatoon and began teaching Hydraulics and Machinery Systems at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences for two years. He then worked at the Duval Potash Mine for eight years as a heavy duty mechanic. In March of 1977, he became the manager of Winnipeg Silver Plate Co. Ltd. Manufacturers of church goods.
Dad was an active member of St.Edwards Parish and the Grand Knight St. Edwards Knights of Columbus Council 11005. He was also active in the Charismatic Renewal. Dad enjoyed his time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Prayers will be held at St. Edwards Church, 836 Arlington Street on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. with viewing one half hour prior. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. also at the church.
