My sincerest sympathy to all of Rose's family. I interacted with Rose on a weekly basis through her association with a group of grandparents and children at the Shaarey Zedek synagogue. She was the "quiet force" behind the program always ensuring that we had what we needed on any particular day. Not only did she know each of us by name, she always made an effort to get to know the children. She will be sorely missed by everyone. May her memory be a blessing.

Rose was an amazing person. Anyone who knew her was simply lucky!
She had a way of remembering the little things that brightened people's lives and brought a smile to their faces. She brought out the best in others because she was the best! Her kindness knew no limit. She knew how to listen and how to understand. I will miss my dearest friend terribly.
Rest well Rose. Now that you have joined the angels you were so fond of collecting, look out for us who miss you so. Look out for us from heaven as you did from earth.
My condolences to Joe, Justin, Jenny, Kevin and Bauer. A soul like hers is never totally gone from us. She lives on in all of us who loved her.

We were very lucky to have Rose in our lives. Because of her our life's were made brighter. She was generous, loyal and full of life. Rose lived her life to the fullest and made every occasion special. We will miss our long phone chats and our visits that were never enough. Time and distance never diminished our special bond. Rose was definitely the glue that held everything together, A piece of our hearts will forever be in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers to Joe, Jenny, Justin, Kevin and Bauer.

The Mathews family has lost a very special Angel. We will truly miss Rose. She was so kind, loving and helpful in all she did.
She would organize family gatherings. At the Mathews thanksgiving, Joe and Rose would stay till the end to help clear up everything. Whether it be the Grey Cup parties, New Years Eve or shared dinners, we will miss her dearly. Her Christmas baking, especially her fudge was yummy.
She was our "Family Tree specialist"; births, marriages and deaths were quickly noted. Whether from Ireland, Hamilton or Calgary to Winnipeg, we could depend on Rose. She kept us together.
Our prayers are with you Joe and your family, Jenny, Kevin, Bauer, and Justin.

We are extremely saddened to hear of Rose's sudden passing. Our most sincere condolences to her family, who she clearly loved with all her heart. Her newest grandson was a bright and beautiful light in her life, we are glad he was able to know her unconditional love. I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Rose's passing. I've known Rose for a long time. We were both in our early 20's when I started working with her. Though we rarely kept in touch, each year at our annual dinner we always caught up and vowed to get together, which we only managed to do once. I was looking so forward to that this Friday. Joe, there are no words that will take your pain away right now, especially from someone you don't know. But I know Rose was dedicated to you and your family and was a loving, caring mother and wife. May you all find peace and go on with the comfort of your memories. I will miss her.

Dearest Joe and family: I am so sorry for the loss of your wife, Rose a wonderful and giving compassionate mother, and grandmother.Death is the worst event in anyone's life.Words cannot express how terrible we feel for you', and how much we wish we could take that pain away, but unfortunately we cannot. God be with you all in this time of great sorrow. I take solace in many things. The most important is that i could call Rose my "sister friend" That is truly hard to find. Some try to find friendship like that and never find it in a lifetime. All the similar interests we shared: laughter, the jokes and solving all the Worlds' issues in our hour long phone calls and of course the most important gift she shared with me and my family, Bauer.I know in my heart that one day we will all be together to share the laughter again.I believe she is with God and helping Him to continue to do her work albeit in other ways.
