I was deeply saddened when I heard of Greg's passing and send my utmost sympathy to his wife Angel and surviving family members. How does one begin when you've shared 10 years that were so full of incredible experiences and pivotal moments in life? I met Greg through music, and we had a blast performing together in the band, "Altered States" along with Al, Terry and Rob. He was always so appreciative of any opportunity to play gigs, even if it was for a charity, to dress in spandex, spike his hair, don a little eyeliner, crank up the "Marshall" and to become a weekend rock star. Greg had a fantastic voice and proficiently played and covered Billy Idol, The Cars, The Payolas, Red Rider, and other 80's icons, as well as performed several truly excellent original songs. I can still envision our poodle Brandy, curled up on a pillow inside the bass drum as we shook the foundation of the
Windsor Park house with our practises and Band Parties. Greg taught me to waterski, and thus began our love of "the course" and Tournament Ski Boats. We competed in Manitoba, British Columbia, and even on the islands of Jamaica and Antigua. Blue Marlin Watersports was a dream that came to fruition in the early 90's in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, and Greg's affinity to teach and to share his talent truly fed his soul. There's no question Greg's passion was the water, (early morning ripple-free glass especially), as was the camping/cottage lifestyle which has resonated through the years at his beloved Betula Lake. When I think of Greg, what comes to mind are; the quaint Italian eateries on Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg that he would frequent which were Vesuvio and Mamma Mia's, Masi and Valpolicella wine, ANY pizza, his famous Spaghetti Carbonara he would so proficiently prepare, red roses, Jamaica, Reggae music - especially Bob Marley, the Whiteshell, Crusader Football, Notre Dame and his devotion to the Blue Bombers, which was always an epic experience to behold should they be playing in a Division Final or at The Grey Cup. Greg adored and respected his family, loved holiday traditions and he had many unique friends. We have all lost a truly kind and exuberant individual that has gone too soon. Greg's passing has dimmed a tiny light in my heart that can never be brightened, but I will be forever grateful for the time he shone his vibrant energy into it. I will never forget you Greg. Safe journey my friend, and may you always "kiss the buoy as you pass through the gates".

Greg was a well dressed , athletic ,musical person. We met Greg about 18 years ago or so in small campground in Whiteshell provincial parc . We where memorized by his teal green Glastron boat with streamlined windshield and matching swim wear. In the evening Greg would take out his acoustic guitar and beginning to play songs that we are now reminiscing his songs by well known artist .Greg never gave up on our family on teaching us all how to waterski, a little tennis , and spending countless hours helping me electric guitar riffs, Our son has become a seasoned guitar player thanks to Greg . I will never forget the day when we were practising to play at the Big Whietshell, when myself ,Greg and a friend named Russ played a well known song on his Deck when we where visited by Parcs and RCMP. Greg was so cool and let them know we had a permit for the evening. Angel our hearts are out to you. We know how close you were. We realize that we had not spent much time together as life changes , our hearts are sad , and we cannot go back to say goodby. At least we did speak for a few minutes last summer
Never will forget you my friend

I am so sorry for your loss Angel. He will be deeply missed at Betula. The lake won't seem the same without Greg. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Eternal rest grant unto Greg, O Lord
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
So shocked to hear of my cousin's passing so suddenly. My sincere sympathies to his Angel; May God grant you strength.
I have such fond memories of playing in Greg's basement, of his wonderfully gracious mother, Kay, and his gregarious father, Paul...Greg took the best from each of them and brightened every human he encountered.
Rest in peace
Lisa
