Obituary of PATRICIA DONNA OLAFSON

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, and sister. She passed away at St. Boniface Hospital in the Palliative Care ward after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat passed away peacefully with her husband Peter, by her side, as he has been since they were married, on September 6^th, 1980.

Pat will be lovingly remembered by her husband, two sons, Mark and Randy, and her two sisters, Mary and Christine. Her in-laws Joy and Dennis, Rhonda and Brian, Laurie, Donna & Darcy, and numerous nieces and nephews. A devoted wife, mother, and sister, Pat lived to see her family happy.

Pat worked at the Canadian Blood Services as an administrator for 28 years, until retiring in 2015. The wife, and mother to three boys, Pat, was naturally a hockey mom and spent a great deal of time taking her boys to, and from hockey rinks and watching them play.

After retirement, Pat liked to spend her time spoiling her boys by making delicious meals, she was second to none in that department. She would spend her down time playing games on her IPad, watching old movies, and hanging out with her pup, Cooper.

The family will be holding a private ceremony and a celebration of life for Pat. The Olafson family would like to thank the numerous doctors and nurses at Cancer Care, HSC & ST. Boniface Palliative Care who cared for Pat during her battle.
