Norma always had a infectious smile on her face and was a awesome motivator when it came to swimming those extra laps of the pool. My sincere condolences to everyone in the Bortoluzzi family. May she rest in eternal peace. Andrew Milejszo

Auntie Norma was a big part of our lives growing up. Thanks Auntie for all the sleepovers, the camping trips that you and Mom gave us at Grand Beach and all those Sundays at Selkirk Park.
Our condolences to all the Bortoluzzi cousins-first, second and third

I had only known Kathy for a short while when she said we were going to Winnipeg for a Bortoluzzi tradition called Christmas in July. I had heard a lot about Norma, but you can't really understand Norma until you meet her. Raising all those kids in chaos..what an adventure.I can still hear Chico talking to Norm. The two of them together was something to behold. It also taught me a lot about how to deal with Norma and Chicos daughter. I thought I had that figured out but I had a lot to learn. I watched in amazement , the energy that Norma had during her many visits to Arizona. As always Norma was always certain to create lifetime memories. She was very special and I am blessed to be married to her amazing daughter.

When I think of you Grandma, I think of you smiling laughing and having fun. You were so much fun growing up and I am so grateful that you were my grandma. Always so giving, positive and outspoken you could always make me laugh! I know you loved all four of your grandchildren so much. Thank you for being my fitness and health inspiration. I love you so much and wish I could be there to celebrate your life. I’m happy you are finally with grandpa again.

I would like to extend my sympathy and condolences to the Bortoluzzi family.
I can still smell your mom's cinnamon buns and lasagna, a recipe that I adopted and continue to get compliments on. I always enjoyed conversations with your mom on Cathedral Ave. She was an independent woman with a great Spirit.
Sending hugs and love to you all.
Take care,
Alison Bergman

To all the Bortoluzzis,
On behalf of the Zack family, I would like to send our sincere condolences on the passing of Norma, a truly amazing woman. Norma, Chico and you kids were an important part of our childhood. I could never count how many get togethers we had in either my parents Abe and Hanna’s backyard on Mountain, your backyard on Cathedral or at Kildonan Park. We dropped in on each other all the time. Norma taught one of my daughters to swim at the North End Y. She succeeded when no one else could. She was such a go getter, and her Marathon achievements are legendary. One of the first pictures of myself as a toddler was from your backyard. I couldn’t even walk yet, so pre-toddler. The family friendship was strong and long-lasting.
She will be truly missed, a wonderful person.

Norma was an amazing person. I can remember sharing birthday cake that she baked with Lawrence , Brian and their cousin Richard through our early years. Remember the coins baked into the cake? Both she and Gino were wonderful people. Norma brought joy to all who knew her. My condolences to all Norma's family and friends.

Mama Norma spent 10 glorious winters with us on the West Coast. She always busied herself baking up a storm - cookies, schmoo cake, cinamon buns, cheesecakes, and more. She would get especially busy in the kitchen right before her spring return to Winnipeg. One year, a few weeks after her departure, I went to get something out the freezer in April and found a raspberry, chocolate cheesecake that must've weighed 15 lbs! She laughed when I called to announce my discovery, and was thrilled she'd managed to surprise me for my birthday. Mama Norma, we will miss your beautiful smile, infectious sense of humour, your big heart and your talents in the kitchen.

Our heartfelt sympathies to the immediate and extended families of Norma Bortoluzzi.
Norma was a nurturing and caring person as evidenced by her love for her family and her care for others through her volunteer work at the YMCA. She was a strong willed and determined woman who pursued her personal development as well as the physical, musical, and educational development of her children. She was an inspirational role model as she was physically active and socially concerned as displayed by an activist mentality on certain issues. She was not afraid to express a viewpoint that was both passionate and thoughtful.
She will be missed.
Judy and Richard, Edmonton
