Many visits to aunty Ollie cafe as we were growing up. Looked forward to visit with sonny as we kind of looked up to him being a few years older. Remember him setting pins at the bowling . Going to his wedding and out to pine falls. Lots of memories. My condolences to you and your brother and the rest of your family

My deepest condolences Garnet, Lonnie and family. Over the past few days I have sat and remembered my memories of Sonny. His witty sense of humour, his smile, his friendly banter, his laughter. Whether he was coaching or watching hockey, working his business or catering meals for special events, he always had that smile and a witty comment. He was a great person and made an impression on so many of us that grew up in Pine Falls. Thoughts and prayers to all that knew him.

Sonny was, by far, the best boss ever! So many laughs working back, front and doing late night floors. He taught me his quick wit, always there with a helping hand, and even let me look after the place when he went to Vegas! (or made me think I was!). This friendship carried over for many more years after moving away from Pine Falls. We would have lunches at John Blumberg GC, laughs at the curling clubs, Christmas holiday breakfasts while in town from Thunder Bay. Monthly texts always asking how I was, how was Mom doing, etc... So glad to have had those last few laughs 3 weeks ago. Gonna miss you Sonny, but will never ever forget the impact you made on me and so many others.

My condolences to Garnet and Lonnie. So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. He was an awesome man and yes a great boss. I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend his service. I so loved all the times that I saw Sonny and Garnet at the Pembina Curling Club or at the food area at the Fringe Festival. He always took time to reminisce and have some laughs.

Sonny was one of the good ones. Will never forget the pre game coffee before the Major Men’s on Friday nights, or the after game burgers at Kekekis. RIP old friend

My sincere condolences Garnet & Lonnie. Sonny was simply the best and you could not have asked for a better boss and friend. I will always cherish the good times and memories we had together. We had a great visit together on December 31st and as usual it was filled with good old stories and a ton of laughs.
RIP Sonny. You will be greatly missed!!
